Building

Building Approvals & Permits

Under Western Australian legislation, approval is required before starting most building or demolition work.

Building site rules

Find out your obligations around controlling dust and sand on a building site, managing a large building site, and approvals you need to store building materials and skip bins on the verge, work out of hours, use a park for access, set up a work zone near your building site or work in the road reserve, which includes filming in the street.

Asbestos

Find out how to safely remove asbestos from your home, and where you can dispose of it.

Pools & Spas

Owners and occupiers are responsible for ensuring there is a compliant swimming pool safety barrier in operation at all times.

Crossovers

A vehicle crossing (or crossover) is the section of driveway that extends from the road edge to where your private property starts.
