School age children classes

Bold Park Swim Academy is a Royal Lifesaving Society endorsed swim school and all school age levels follow the Royal Lifesaving Society continuum and are equivalent to the Department of Education swim stages.

Bold Park Aquatic is proud to be an accredited "Watch Around Water" facility.

Class

Description

Level 1

30 minute beginners class for school age children. Introducing personal survival skills including front glide, floating, kicking and submersion. Maximum 4 persons per class

Level 2

30 minute class for school age children. Introducing freestyle, front and back glide, front torpedo and extending personal survival skills. Maximum 6 students per class

Level 3

30 minute class for school age children, introducing breaststroke leg action, back sculling and freestyle 10m with breathing. Refining personal survival skills. Maximum 6 students per class.

Level 4

30 minute class refining freestyle (15m) and breaststroke. Introducing backstroke, (10m) breastroke arm action and survival backstroke (10m). A creative program including recovering objects from the bottom of the pool and survival skills in deep water. Maximum 6 students per class.

Level 5

30 minute class, further refinement in all strokes and distance work. Personal survival skills. Maximum 6 students per class.

Level 6

30 minute class, emphasis on correct technique, set distance work. Dives and personal survival skills. Maximum 6 students per class.

Level 7

45 minute class, distance work (up to 150m) with emphasis on correct technique in all strokes (except butterfly). Personal survival sequence and sculling feet first and eggbeater kick. Maximum 10 students per class.

Level 8

45 minute class, endurance work (up to 200m) with continuous swimming and correct technique a priority. Water safety sequence, sidestroke and dolphin kick. Maximum 10 students per class.

Level 9

45 minute class, introduction of butterfly, freestyle tumble turns and basic principals of Resuscitation and CPR and non contact rescues. Distance work up to 300m with correct technique using all strokes. Maximum 10 students per class

Body Harmonics

Body Harmonics is a swimming program unlike any you may have experienced. This unique approach focusing on learning to be comfortable and fluent in the water, which allows people to learn and improve far more quickly and easily than conventional programs. 



Program and Costs
 One student (private lessons) - 5 x 60 minute lessons   $500
 Two students (learn to swim) - 10 x 30 minute lessons $257 / person 
 Four students (freestyle) - 5 x 60 minute lessons $257 / person
 Ten students (graduate squad) - 10 x 45 minute lessons $226 / person 
 

Aqua Aerobics

Get moving in one of our fun Aqua Aerobics classes.

Suitable for all ages - conducted in shallow end of the pool - being able to swim not necessary

The Living Longer Living Stronger program is designed for the over 50s.  This strength, flexibility and cardiovascular training program will not only improve your health, fitness and quality of life ... it's fun too!
