The Cambridge Library is an excellent lending and reference service that has around 53,000 items ranging from books, magazines, audio, videos and DVD's for members to borrow.

The library offers online services, a home delivery service, seniors forum, school holiday activities and story time sessions for the children.

Facilities and programs

  • a lending and reference service of approximately 53,000 items;
  • 20 public computers with access to Internet, word processing, printing and disk or flash RAM drives;
  • after hours returns chute; and
  • reading lounge with kitchen facilities and computer room available for hire.

Home Delivery Service 

If you're unable to leave your home because of disability the library can arrange to deliver library items to you. Eligibility criteria apply

Book Clubs

The library hosts book club meetings on the first Tuesday (2pm to 3pm) and second Thursday of the month (5:30pm to 6:30pm).    

Guest Speaker Program

A guest speaker session at the library each month  

Computer Classes

Held weekly on Tuesdays at 5:30pm (intermediate class) and Fridays at 1:30pm (beginners class). Sessions vary including basic computer skills, word processing, internet skills and email skills.

Pre-school story time

Held every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30am (excluding school holidays).

Baby rhyme time  Held on the last Monday of each month at 9:30am (recommended between the ages of 4 to 24 months, excludes school holidays)

School holiday activities

Special activities for school aged children .

Book promotions

Look out for WA Young Readers Awards and Children's Book Week 

Local studies collection and oral history program

Information sessions and workshops on topics such as researching your family history. Donations to the collection are welcome
