Snakes
Sometimes snakes find themselves in backyards in the warmer months of spring while searching for food or a mate.
Most snake bites occur when people accidently step on them or try to kill them. If you see a snake in your backyard make sure pets and children aren't in any danger and telephone the WILDCARE Hotline on 9474 9055.
Visit the Department of Environment and Conservation's website for more information on WILDCARE.
