Cambridge has joined the social networking revolution and now has an identity on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Twitter is a useful addition to the Town's existing communications strategy to help get short and timely messages across to followers.
Along with providing a fast communications medium it also allows Cambridge to direct followers onto other news tweeted by others by 're-tweeting' important information.
For those of you with a Twitter application on your iPhone or Blackberry you'll get immediate notifications of Council tweets complete with web links directing followers back to the information source on the Cambridge website.
The Town invites ratepayers and stakeholders to follow Cambridge to get up-to-date news and alerts about Council issues such as:
Cambridge News availability
Council meetings and agendas
Public consultation opportunities
