What is the Local Planning Strategy?

The Town is preparing a Local Planning Strategy (LPS) to provide strategic direction for future town planning and development and the review of the Town's Town  Planning Scheme No.1.

Council has endorsed a Local Planning Strategy Working Document - available below - which provides a basic outline for further development of the Local Planning Strategy.

Community Values

An important initial phase in preparing the LPS is finding out the values, opinions and needs of local residents, landowners, business owners and community groups.

CATALYSE was appointed to survey opinions on topics including community values and identity, housing, commercial activity, parks and recreation and transport.
