Native Plant Subsidy

Residents wishing to plant native species in their gardens this year should drop into the Town's Administration Centre to pick up their plant subsidy voucher for Apace Nursery during the month of May 2008.  Residents can purchase native tube stock from Apace Nursery in Fremantle for $1.25 each which is half price.

The Town of Cambridge along with other WESROC members are encouraging residents to help foster biodiversity in their backyard and provide valuable food and shelter for our local wildlife.  For advice and guidelines on how to convert your verge treatment from lawn to native groundcovers please contact the Town's Sustainability Officer, Amy Rayner on 9347 6000 or by email arayner@cambridge.wa.gov.au.

Now is the best time to get planting as the soil is still warm and the dew in the morning combined with more frequent winter rain will help your plants get established.
