All of the Town’s parks, playgrounds and barbecue areas are provided inclusive of picnic furniture.

Barbecue Operation

• Use is free
• Start by pressing the button on the front of the electric barbecue.
• Most barbecues are provided with lights for evening use.
• Please clean the barbecue after use.
• Please take your rubbish home or place it in bins provided.

Safety and Health

• Please supervise children in playgrounds.
• Ensure shoes are worn.
• Keep dogs out of the soft fall or play area.
• Report any faults or damage on tel: 9347-6000.

Lake Monger Reserve

Powis Street & Lake Monger Drive, Wembley

• Acrod bays available.
• North barbecue accessible by wheelchairs.
• One playground (south west corner) caters for children with special needs.
• Recreation perimeter path available for walking, jogging and cycling.
• Two toilets, one is wheelchair accessible south of the Reserve.

Interesting Features:

• The Lake’s perimeter path is 3.5 kilometres.
• View the rehabilitation works on the east side (freeway) of the Reserve.
• Includes a one kilometre nature trail, bird refuge island, boardwalks, lookouts and interpretative information, amongst a forest of indigenous vegetation.
• See how road drainage from surrounding suburbs and the freeway has been intercepted and diverted into vegetated open drains to collect rubbish and strip out harmful nutrients before entering the lake.
• Lights are available at barbecue locations for night use and there are also lights in certain locations around the perimeter path.

Perry Lakes Reserve

Perry Lakes Drive, Floreat

• Acrod bays available.
• One playground (south west) caters for children with special needs.
• Some barbecues are accessible to wheelchairs.
• Picnic tables accessible to wheelchairs.
• Electric barbecues and numerous wood barbecues, but observe fire bans, bring your own wood and ensure the fire is out before leaving.
• Toilet facilities are located at the southern end of the Reserve, near the accessible playground.
• Internal paths for walking jogging and cycling.
• New barbecue facilities locted at the southern end of the western lake include picnic tables and lights, make the areas available for night use.

City Beach Park

Challenger Parade, City Beach

• Accrod bays available.
• Two playgrounds, one has shade provision and is accessible to wheelchairs.
• Three toilet facilities, one is accessible to wheelchairs.
• Swimming areas available adjacent to Surf Life Saving Club.
• Restaurant and kiosk facilities available.
• Lights available for night use.
• Barbecue facilities are available north of Oceanus Restaurant.

Floreat Beach Park

West Coast Highway & Challenger Parade, City Beach.

• Acrod bays available.
• Toilet facility accessible to wheelchairs.
• Playground has shade provision and is accessible to wheelchairs.
• Swimming areas available adjacent to Floreat Surf Life Saving Club.
• Volley ball courts available for public use, inquiries at kiosk.
• Kiosk facilities available.
• Barbecue facilities and shade shelters/picnic tables.
