How the Centre operates
- A team of trained youth workers offers a range of services to young people through the Number 86 Youth Centre.
- The Centre focuses on developing opportunities for innovative, safe, youth-oriented recreation, leisure, cultural activities and participation.
- Youth workers can respond to individual crises and issues and provide information, referral and support on a range of issues.
Facilities
- Number 86 is a safe drop-in space for young people
- Pool table, air hockey, table tennis, TV/DVD/Video, stereo
- Beanbag Internet Centre offers free internet access and computer technologies
Programs
Workshops, activities and events through the year, including:
- School holiday workshops
- Music, Arts, Film Nights
- Leadership training and camps
- Urban arts projects
- Annual Youth Festival “Exposure”
- Film and media projects
- Computer gaming nights
- Skate clinics
- Coffee workshops
- First aid and special events

- Number 86 is open 12noon - 6pm Monday – Thursdays
- Late opening on Fridays from 5pm - 10pm

Cambridge Youth Advisory Council (YAC)
- A link between young people and local and state governments.
- Young people have input into local planning and development
- Input into State Government policy through the Office of Children and Young People's Policy.
- Membership is open to all aged 14 – 25 with a local area connection or interest
- Plays a strong role in developing local youth culture
- Art projects, music events and fundraising projects
Beanbag Internet Centre
- Located at Number 86 Youth Centre
- Internet access via three broadband linked computers
- Colour printer and scanner
- Basic instruction by Peer Educators
- Programmes include Microsoft XP, desktop publishing, video editing, photo imaging
- Free service to young people with nominal printing charges

Skate Facilities
Perry Lakes skate facility – a technically excellent facility for skaters of all ages and skill levels.

Facilities
- Close to Perry Lakes attractions and surrounded by shaded areas suitable for spectators.
- An emergency telephone is provided with a direct link to emergency services in case of accidents.
Open Times
Skating is permitted during all daylight hours.
Programs
- Youth Services run regular skateboard and BMX clinics together with competitions and fun days.
- The wearing of protective gear is strongly recommended when using skate facilities and can be loaned from the youth centre for use in clinics and competitions
