When submitting a building licence four (4) copies of plans are required (1 copy to be A3.


What does a building licence cost?

These charges may vary, please phone and ask to speak to the building Administation Officer on 9347 6000.


Do I need a building licence to build a pergola or patio?

Yes you need a building licence to build a patio or pergola.


What do I need to do to install a pool?

A building licence is required for all above and below ground swimming pools and spas. Swimming pools and spas must be fenced in accordance wifh Part 10 of the Building Regulations and the Australian Standards.

What do I need to do before displaying a sign?

Some signs may require Planning approval (refer to Planning Policy 5.1 Advertising Signs as linked). Advertising signs, whether attached to buildings or freestanding, are subject to a licence issued by the Towns Building Services.
