Grants and Donations
The Town of Cambridge makes funding grants available for a number of diverse community and other projects.
Financial Assistance to Community Organisations
Purpose: for the provision of worthwhile services, support and programs within the Town of Cambridge.
Eligibility: community-based organisations and groups.
Grant: financial assistance for either one-off establishment grants or a grant or donation to assist with service provision and/or purchase of minor equipment.
Amount: $12,000 on the 2008/2000 Budget
Applications are now being received and will close on Friday, 19 September 2008.

Financial Assistance for Individual Achievement
Purpose: to offer financial assistance to individuals in recognition of excellence in sport, leisure, cultural and educational activities.
Eligibility: travel assistance to individuals who have been selected to represent the State or Nation in interstate or overseas championships and competitions.
Grant: Applicants may be awarded up to $500 toward travel expenses.

Donations to Community Organisations
Purpose: to assist sporting and community organisations.
Eligibility: organisations hosting inter-club competitions or special events.
Categories: The funding sub-categories under Donations to Community Organisations are Civic Functions and Donations.
This funding program, Donations to Community Organisations, is offered as a third category in the Financial Assistance to Community Organisations program (policy no 2.1.20).

Community Organisations Facilities Assistance Program
Purpose: to provide financial assistance to organisations to enhance the provision of facilities within the Town.
Eligibility: projects as new buildings, building extensions/renovations, and provision or replacement of sporting facilities. Available to organisations whose membership base is at least 40% of Town of Cambridge residents.

Financial Assistance to Local Schools
Purpose: to provide financial assistance to local schools.
Eligibility: local schools within the Town of Cambridge.
Grant: for services and programs that benefit the wider Cambridge community.

Community/Public Art Fund
Purpose: to provide the community a valuable art experience either by way of participation in the project, or through the final result of the artwork being displayed within the Town.
Eligibility: a community artist or organisation can tender to undertake a specific public art project within the Town at a specified location.
