NAIDOC Week Welcome to Country and Indigenous Dance Performance
Published on 08 July 2024
On Monday, 9 June 2024, we kicked off our NAIDOC Week celebrations with a heartfelt Welcome to Country and Indigenous Dance Performance at our Administration Centre. Elder Neville Collard led a powerful Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, setting the tone for a week of celebration and reflection.
The highlight of the event was the incredible performance by the Deadly Yongas, who captivated everyone with their traditional dance and didgeridoo music. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was a wonderful opportunity to come together. It was truly a memorable experience, and it was fantastic to see so many of you getting involved and showing your support.
Be sure to check out the photos below of everyone getting involved! Let’s continue to support and participate in the rest of the NAIDOC Week events.
