Statement Regarding Verge Works on The Blvd, Floreat

The Town of Cambridge is reviewing the verge works on a residential property on The Boulevard, Floreat, following recent enquiries from the property owners.

Senior staff met with the property owners on-site on 14 May to discuss the situation, seeking to work towards a resolution.

During the installation of the verge garden, some elements were installed that either were not described or varied slightly from the original plans. The variations may seem minor; however, where they will create a risk to public safety, the Town must prioritise and address the risk.

“We have a responsibility to prioritise and action the public safety risk that may be created from the garden, we acknowledge – and regret in this case – the process did not meet the residents’ expectations of the customer service standards, and the advice they can expect when they interact with us.

"We have reached out to the property owners and are working with them towards a resolution.”
