City Beach Car Park Resurfacing

The Town of Cambridge manages a total of 82 carparks. Resurfacing of car parks is based on surface age and condition, the program aims to renew the surfaces every 30- 40 years.
With over 170,000 of sealed car parks, the program aims to resurface 5,000-7,000 square meters each year.
In the 2024/25 financial year, three carparks along the City Beach foreshore (C305,307 & 308) will be upgraded. The works will include the following
- The existing black apshalt wearing course is to be replaced with red asphalt.
- Upgrades to drainage and kerb infrastructure;
- Parking bays, including ACROD bays to be installed to contempory standards
Current Work
The project is currently in the detailed design stage.
What to Expect During Works
Due to the nature of this project, involving major car parking areas, there will be some unavoidable disruption. As construction progresses, you may experience increased noise and dust in the vicinity.
It is unavoidable that the car parks will be closed while this work is undertaken, however there will be measures are in place to minimise this impact. All affected parties will be required to take precautions and observe signage when approaching the construction area.
