The Leederville Sporting Club irrigation system is nearing the end of its design life and is not fit for purpose for the facility. Currently the club is required to fit aluminium pipes to water the greens which are inefficient and cumbersome.

As part of this project, the bore and pump will be replaced with a more appropriate infrastructure. There is also an opportunity to amalgamate this system with the community gardens site and operate under the same source.

The Town will undertake consultation in late-2023, which will inform the design scope and installation of the automated new system in the 2024/25 financial year.

Progress Updates

Works have commenced on site with bore drilling and testing. Installation of the new system will continue in the coming weeks.

The first phase of the project involves engaging with key stakeholders to develop key principles for the project. This will take place in late 2023 and construction will take place in 2024.
