The Leederville Sporting Club irrigation system is nearing the end of its design life and is not fit for purpose for the facility. Currently the club is required to fit aluminium pipes to water the greens which are inefficient and cumbersome.

As part of this project, the bore and pump will be replaced with a more appropriate infrastructure. There is also an opportunity to amalgamate this system with the community gardens site and operate under the same source.

The Town will undertake consultation in late-2023, which will inform the design scope and installation of the automated new system in the 2024/25 financial year.

Progress Updates

A new ditch wall has been constructed and irrigation works are underway. A new bore and cabinet have been installed and an automated sprinkler system is now watering the greens and surrounds. Power supply works will continue into March with works planned to be completed prior to April 2025.
