The project outlines an upgrade of essential elements of the Leederville Sporting Club to improve accessibility, functionality and to provide an overall better communal space. The works will be staged to reduce the impact on the club and reduce the disruption to both local residents and club users. The works will improve the disability access of the facility to ensure equal opportunity for all users.
Scope Details
UAT - Construct an AS1428 compliant Universal Accessible Toilet (UAT) within the existing club room office.
Ramp (front, side and back of building) - Provide an accessible front entrance ramp and doorway into the club, extending around the side of the building up to the female toilet entrance. The ramp will then extend around to the back of the building to the alfresco area, and newly completed UAT.
Kitchen - Upgrade to the club kitchen facilities. New appliances and fittings / fixtures to update and improve the kitchen.
Alfresco - Upgrade to alfresco to increase space and usability of outdoor seating area. The undercover area will increase in size slightly to allow for better flow around outdoor seats and tables. The outdoor seating area in the BBQ area will be upgraded with new services and more accessible spaces.

Completed – New compliant UAT.
Completed – Installation of the new ramps at the front of the building.

Completed - Upgrade to the Alfresco area
Completed – Upgrade to the alfresco area. Alfresco works have been completed as of October 2024. Works include new paving, painted walls, shade sails, back of house screening, new BBQ and amenities.
Stage 2 Ramps works will commence at the start of 2025, so the club will still be able to host outdoor events without disruptions in the lead up to Christmas. Works will include modification to the roof supports with new structural columns sitting further out which will increase the outdoor seating space, along with new paving and ceiling.
