The Town has received an application for a carport addition at the above-mentioned property. 

A summary of the proposal is as follows: 

  • Carport located within the primary street setback area;

  • Two car bay width;

  • Total height of 3.7m.

The application is being advertised for the following reasons:

  • The proposed carport is proposed within the primary street setback area;
  • The development contains a wall greater than 0.75m high within a 1.5m truncated area where a driveway meets a public street.

  • The development incorporates landscaping in 57% of the primary street setback area;

  • The existing fence does not incorporate an ‘open style’ design.

The Town can consider and approve applications that do not meet the deemed-to-comply provisions where the proposed development satisfies certain design principles.

To assist the Town in determining this application, you are invited to view the plans and comment on the parts of the development that do not meet the deemed-to-comply provisions and/or the proposed use.
