What time can I start setting up my stall?

Do I have an allocated stall location?

Stalls will not be assigned and will be occupied on a first come, first in basis.

What do I need to set up my stall?

You will need to bring whatever you need for your sale including tables and chairs if required.

Stalls are 3m x 3m.

Stallholders must bring their own shade structures, tables and equipment.

No electricity will be provided.

Where do I park my vehicle?

Additional parking will be allowed for on Lake Monger Reserve.

Can I share my stall?

Stalls can be shared, just make sure you have enough space.

Will there be an ATM or change available?

No change will be available, bring your own float or EFTPOS facilities.

Can anyone help me carry my items from my car to my stall?

Event staff will be available to assist with unloading items to your stall.

They will not lift heavy or awkward loads so please be mindful when loading your vehicle that the items can be safely carried to your stall.

Bring a trolley to move heavy objects.

Drop off zones will be allocated in an email on 13 March 2020.

What if I have leftover items after the event?

No dumping is allowed and all sellers are responsible for leaving their stall space clean.

All rubbish and unsold items must be removed from the site.

A Good Sammys truck will be present at the event for you to donate any unwanted items you didn't sell, to charity.

RETHINK YOUR WASTE

The Markets are a great opportunity for you to rethink your waste and buy and sell second-hand items in a mindful way.

We encourage you to be a conscious consumer and consider the 7 R's of Recycling

Waste Graphic_4.png

WHY GET INVOLVED?

  • Sellers can profit from the sale of second-hand items that would otherwise be thrown away or sent to recycling
  • Buyers can take home good quality items at a fraction of the cost
  • The useful life of these items is extended
  • By items being reused it retains a large amount of its value. If it was thrown away instead (where it would be no longer functional as its original product), the item would only be as valuable as the materials it is made of.
  • Buying pre-loved items reduces the amount of pollution leaked during the production of the product and materials it is made of
  • Less ends up in landfill
  • Community-driven markets help reduce waste and the practice of wastefulness
  • Re-using items saves on the amount of materials and water required to produce a new product if it were purchased instead of a second-hand item
  • A great opportunity to declutter your home

Zero waste, one hundred percent value retention.
