You're invited to a free morning tea on Sunday, 4 December to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games!
Come along to the Town's Admin Building between 10.00am and 11.30am to remember the sporting spectacle that helped put Perth on the map.
Back in 1962, the former Perry Lakes Stadium in Floreat played host to dozens of athletic events and City Beach was home to a dedicated Games Village to accommodate athletes.
The morning tea and displays such as a photograph collection will be a great way for the community to reminisce about the landmark event or to discover more about this exciting part of our local history.
