Parks, Beaches, and Playgrounds

The Town of Cambridge is home to more than 50 beautiful parks, gardens, recreation areas, and playgrounds. Our coastal strip also takes in two of Perth's most iconic beaches - City Beach and Floreat Beach.

In comparison to the broader Perth metropolitan region, the Town is well serviced by public open space, with approximately 975ha (43.9 percent) of the municipal area dedicated for local, neighbourhood and district parks. Of the 975ha, 474ha is under the control and management of the Town. This diversity and quality of open space creates a range of different experiences and opportunities across the Town.

A large percentage of the open space in the Town consists of regional open space and recreation, and is located within City Beach and Floreat. This includes Bold Park (437ha), Coastal Foreshore (129ha), Wembley Golf Course (131 ha), Perry Lakes (57ha), Alderbury Sportsground (10ha), Lake Monger (109ha) and Floreat Sporting Precinct (14ha). Other facilities include Wembley Sports Park (State Netball Centre, Matthews Netball Centre, Wembley Oval), City Beach Oval and AK Reserve (State Basketball Centre, Athletics and Rugby facilities).
