The Town of Cambridge has prepared a revised draft West Leederville Activity Centre Plan for public comment.
The Town has been actively reviewing the implementation of the Activity Centre Plan since 2016 with the aim to ensure the planning framework for the area is clear and to address modifications required by the Western Australian Planning Commission.
The draft Activity Centre Plan provides detailed guidance for the future development and planning of public realm projects within the West Leederville Centre. It specifies land use objectives and development standards for how land is used, building heights and setbacks, public realm design in each of the four Precincts:
- Precinct 1 - Cambridge High Street
- Precinct 2 - Kimberley Street to Abbotsford Street Residential Area
- Precinct 3 - Southport Street
- Precinct 4 - Leederville Hub
Submissions on the Activity Centre Plan may be lodged via the online survey, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to 1 Bold Park Drive, Floreat WA 6014. Written submissions should include the title of the proposal, the property affected and details of the submission.
The submission period closes 5pm, Monday 22 June 2020.
Following the submission period, a report on the draft Activity Centre Plan and the outcomes of advertising will be presented to Council for consideration. The draft Activity Centre Plan will then be forwarded to the Western Australian Planning Commission for final endorsement.
