Local Planning Strategy

The Town is currently preparing a Local Planning Strategy (LPS) to provide strategic direction for future town planning and development, and the review of Town of Cambridge Town Planning Scheme No.1.

The LPS will consider a diverse range of issues including housing and demographics, transport and infrastructure, commercial activity and employment, tourism, community facilities and the natural environment.

The LPS will seek to address the Town's requirement to develop options to meet housing targets under the State Government's Directions 2031, draft Perth and Peel @ 3.5 Million and the draft Central Sub-regional Planning Framework.
