Free summer bus service coming soon
Published on 30 November 2017
Travel within the Town of Cambridge is set to become easier with a new free Summer Bus Services trial during the upcoming summer holidays.
The bus service will provide an easy link to centres throughout the Town from 9am to 4pm, seven days a week, including public holidays but excluding Christmas Day.
The route is yet to be finalised, however the service is planned to run hourly and link West Leederville and Wembley with the Town's community facilities. Proposed stops include, Bold Park Aquatic Centre, Wembley Golf and Miniature Golf Course, Perry Lakes Skate Park, Floreat Forum, City Beach and Floreat Beach.
No tickets will be required and the low ground clearance of the bus will make it easy for people of all ages to hop on an off the bus.
The new bus service will be helpful and convenient for children, parents and seniors over the summer holiday period.
Sustainable public transport makes a huge difference to our community and will hopefully help to reduce parking congestion within the Town.
Details of the bus route and times will be confirmed next week, with service commencing on Thursday, 14 December 2017.
