You spoke and we heard!
South City Beach Kiosk Building is set to stay!
More than 1,360 members of the community provided their views on the future of the South City Beach Kiosk and Amenities Building in the recent Town of Cambridge survey. An overwhelming majority (90 per cent) of respondents said that they would prefer that the Town retain the building for new and improved purposes.
Consequently, the Council has decided to retain the building and put it to new use. We will be seeking Expressions of Interest in the near future from persons wishing to operate from the building. The Town at this time has no fixed view on what this future may be and will rely on the Expressions of Interest to help guide the decision.
Thank you for your interest in the kiosk project and a special thanks to those who provided insightful feedback in the September survey. We will continue to keep you informed as developments unfold.
