It's double the delight for your taste buds with Lake Monger Reserve now home to two food trucks!
The Acai Corner has offered nourishing and natural acai bowls not far from the pump track since October 2021, and we now welcome What The Flip to the Dodd Street playground with its selection of savoury meals, French pastries, coffee and more.
The Acai Corner trades from Tuesday to Saturday (7.00am to 1.30pm) and What the Flip operates seven days a week (8.00am to 4.00pm). Hours may vary due to trade and weather conditions.
Provision of mobile food vendors at the reserve forms part of the Council approved Lake Monger Activity Plan and is in response to overwhelming positive community feedback for food vendors, after a survey held in May 2022.
Welcoming What the Flip to the popular reserve follows the Town’s Expression of Interest period in June 2022, which called on potential vendors to apply for a permit to trade at one of two reserve locations.
The vendors were chosen based on their delicious menus, commitment to sustainable practices and outstanding customer service. Both traders will be operating at powered sites, with generators only permitted in the case of power disruption.
