The 2022 Local Schools Art Exhibition proved an amazing showcase for dozens of talented students from seven local schools.

This year, the exhibition attracted more than 100 entries from kindy youngsters through to students in Year 6. All local schools were invited to submit entries.

Mayor Keri Shannon hosted an opening night event at the Boulevard Centre on Thursday 1 September 2022, presenting encouragement certificates and high commendation certificates to 16 children.

The Overall Exhibition Winner was Year 3 student Ksenia Dmitrieva from Lake Monger Primary School for her artwork titled 'The Peacock'.

Artworks were judged by a panel of local artists and art enthusiasts.

Student artworks went on display at Floreat Forum this month and the winner of the People's Choice Award is yet to be announced.

The Town of Cambridge is proud to encourage and support aspiring young artists through the annual exhibition.
