Invitation to Comment - Draft Local Planning Policy Notice is hereby given that the Town of Cambridge has prepared draft Local Planning Policy 1.6: Assistance for Heritage Places for public comment.

The purpose of draft Local Planning Policy 1.6 is to implement a heritage specific grant program and development application fee waiver to assist owners conserve and manage heritage places located within the Town.

The draft Policy sets out the: • grant conditions and criteria for the Local Government to provide financial assistance to owners of Heritage Places for conservation works; and • circumstances where the Local Government may waive fees set and imposed under the Planning and Development Regulations 2009 and the Local Government Act 1995, for development applications relating to Heritage Places.

The draft Local Planning Policy 1.6 and supporting information can be inspected at or obtained from the Town of Cambridge Administration Centre at 1 Bold Park Drive, Floreat during office hours or downloaded here(PDF, 139KB).

Submissions on the local planning policy should include the policy number and title, the property affected and details of the submission. Submissions may be lodged online via the website above, by email to mail@cambridge.wa.gov.au or to 1 Bold Park Drive, Floreat WA 6014 and are to reach the Town by 5:00 pm Friday 3 May 2019.
