APPROVED TOWN PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT
TOWN PLANNING SCHEME No. 1 - AMENDMENT No. 33
It is hereby notified for public information, in accordance with Section 87 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 that the Minister for Planning approved the Town of Cambridge Town Planning Scheme amendment No. 33 on the 13 March 2018 and gazetted on 27 March 2018.
The approved Amendment rezones portions of Lot 8 (No. 350) Cambridge Street, Wembley from 'Residential R20' and 'Public Purpose' to 'Local Centre', and requires the preparation of a local development plan to provide detailed planning with respect to redevelopment of the overall Cambridge Forum and Wembley Hotel site (Lot 8 (No. 350) and Lot 7 (No. 344) Cambridge Street, Wembley).
The local development plan is to include provisions relating to:-
- building heights and setbacks consistent with the Wembley Activity Centre Plan;
- location of a public parking facility; and
- location and indicative design of open space within the site boundaries including a public plaza front Cambridge Street.
The amendment is not approval to commence or carry out development on the site; future development applications will be determined in accordance with the Town of Cambridge Town Planning Scheme and Schedule 2 of the Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015.
The approved Amendment No.33 was gazetted on 27 March 2018 and has been incorporated into the Town Planning Scheme No.1 Text and Map.
