Railway Parade & Northwood St Precinct Project

  • Project typeRoad Works
  • Completion Date30 June 2021

The Town is developing a safe crossing point for pedestrians at Railway Parade near Northwood Street. Since the commencement of Bob Hawke College, the number of students crossing here has and will be increasing and the Town will be installing a crossing point for the safety of pedestrians and drivers.

After considering a report at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 15 December 2020 (available here),(PDF, 176KB) detailing the complexities of the proposed crossing options, Council resolved to form a Project Reference Group (PRG) to explore all possibilities and funding options for the optimum long term improvement of the area through the development of a precinct master plan.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the call for nominations for the Reference Group.

A Project Reference Group has been formed comprising the following:

Cr Mack (Chair),

Cr Barlow,
