New outdoor space boosts accessibility at Leederville Sporting Club
Published on 11 August 2025
Stage 2 of the Leederville Sporting Club upgrade has been completed, delivering improved outdoor seating and enhanced accessibility for members and visitors.
The works, led by the Town of Cambridge, included new roof supports, updated paving and ceiling finishes, and the installation of an automatic sliding door to replace the previous manual entry. The changes improve circulation, provide easier hands-free access, and create a more functional space.
This stage follows earlier improvements, including a Universal Accessible Toilet, ramp access, a refurbished kitchen, and expanded alfresco facilities. The project has been delivered in stages to minimise disruption to members and nearby residents.
The upgrades form part of the Town’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive and accessible community facilities.
