The Town of Cambridge has received 50% funding from the Western Australian Planning Commission and administered through the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage, to develop a 10yr Foreshore Management Plan.

A key recommendation in the Town’s Coastal Hazard Risk Management Adaptation Plan (CHRMAP) 2022 is to develop a Foreshore Management Plan (FMP) to guide future maintenance and planning of the Town’s coastline.

The objective is to establish a management framework to guide planning, development, rehabilitation and long-term management of the Town's coastal foreshore reserve areas.

  • Review scope of works Sept/October 2024
  • Advertise Tender November 2024
  • Appoint Consultant December 2024
  • Inception Meeting January 2025
  • Finalise Community Engagement Strategy February 2025
  • Review Draft Foreshore Management Plan December 2025
  • Community Feedback January 2026
  • Review final Foreshore Management Plan May 2026
  • Council endorsement and publish on website August 2026

Project Updates

The Tender process is complete and the Town has appointed Land Insights to produce the Foreshore Management Plan.
