The Town of Cambridge has received funding from the Western Australian Planning Commission, administered through the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage, to develop a 10yr Foreshore Management Plan (FMP).
A key recommendation in the Town’s Coastal Hazard Risk Management Adaptation Plan (CHRMAP) 2022 is to develop a Foreshore Management Plan (FMP) to guide future maintenance and planning of the Town’s coastline.
The objective is to establish a management framework to guide planning, development, rehabilitation and long-term management of the Town's coastal foreshore reserve areas.
The Steering Committee have reviewed the Draft Foreshore Management Plan. Feedback on the draft will be provided to the consultant, Land Insights to amend the document. Following this, the amended draft will be presented to Council to seek approval for public advertising/community feedback.
