Get to Know Your Neighbour
The 'Get to know your Neighbour' program is all about creating safer neighbourhoods by building positive relationships and open communication between neighbours - the result being improved community safety.
If you'd like to get to know your neighbours and improve safety in your neighbourhood, it's easy!
To be eligible for funding, applications must be made a minimum of 10 business days prior to the event.
Step 1: Set the date, invite the neighbours
After coordinating with your neighbours and getting an approximate number of attendees and selecting a date, you can print the invitations and RSVP slips from the link under 'Related Information' at the bottom of the page. If you don't have access to a printer, please inform us, and we’ll be happy to print them for you to pick up.
Step 2: Nominate the Host
Once the invitations have been sent out, you will need to 'Nominate' yourself or another person as the Host. Click the link below to complete the nomination form and inform the Town that you wish to host a 'Get to Know Your Neighbour' event.
Nominate as a host
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that the event date is at least 10 business days before submitting your nomination to the Town.
Step 3 - Confirm the event and have fun!
Once your RSVPs have been received, please contact us to confirm the event details and claim your $100 Woolworths Gift Voucher for catering. The voucher is exclusively for food-related purchases and does not cover other items, including alcohol, which are not provided by the Town. We will need a receipt for your purchases for our records, and we’d love to see any photos from the event to capture the fun you had!
