Local Government Elections

Local government ordinary elections are held every two years on the third Saturday in October for all local governments statewide.

The most recent local government elections were held on 21 October 2023, and run by the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC) for most local governments across the state, including the Town of Cambridge.

The Mayor and Council Members are each elected for a four year term on alternate years, with half of the elected members being elected every two years.
