Request Archived Plans
If you own a property within the Town of Cambridge, you can request to view a copy of the plans of your property.
Please return your application via email to
mail@cambridge.wa.gov.au or by post. To avoid delays please ensure your application is received by the Town prior to 12pm each Wednesday.
The City of Perth split into four (4) Councils on 1 July 1994, one of which is the Town of Cambridge. As such, the Town of Cambridge holds applications from 1 July 1994 onwards with some 1992 & 1993 files (but not all).
The archived building plans held by the City of Perth contains plans only, they do not contain copies of Building Licences.
You will be emailed a digital copy of the plans once they are available.
Please allow up to 15 business days as the majority of plans are stored offsite and are currently hardcopy only. We do endeavour to complete these requests as soon as possible.
The plans will be held at the Town of Cambridge for a period of four (4) weeks from the retrieval date.
Conditions
- Agents must provide written approval from the owner to access and obtain copies of any plans and related documents;
- If the property is held in the form of a strata title, written authority from the secretary of the body corporate or managing agent, or written authority signed by all strata owners, is required;
- If a third party is to review the plans on behalf of the owner, permission from the owner is required authorising that person to receive a copy of the plans;
- Should the owner/s of the property be a company, then a copy of relevant documentation indicating the current Directors or authorised officer of the Company is required; and
- Plans must not be removed from the Town's Administration Centre, however photocopying of plans is permitted (fees apply).
