Parklet and Alfresclet Permit
How to Apply
1. Prepare Your Documentation
Ensure you have digital copies of all relevant documents, including:
- Food Act 2008 Certificate of Registration
- Public liability insurance
2. Provide Plans and Visuals
Submit a detailed, scaled plan and supporting visuals, including:
Plan to scale and specification of the proposed Alfresclet, showing:
- The position of tables, chairs, and any structures proposed within the Alfresclet
- The location and dimensions of the proposed Alfresclet
- Intended materials, design and construction, including location and design of planters
Plan to scale and specification of the broader surrounding area (within 30 metres beyond the boundaries of the proposed eating area), showing:
- All nearby carriageways, footpaths, public facilities, public places, streets, and street alignments
- Colour photographs of the tables, chairs, umbrellas, and other structural elements of the Alfresclet
3. Apply Online
- If you wish to set up an Alfresclet, you must apply for an Alfresclet Permit here.
- Permits are valid for 12 months, and renewal applications can be submitted here.
4. Payment
Once your application is received, the Environmental Health Services Team will contact you regarding payment. The application will not be processed until payment has been made.
To view the current fees and charges for an Alfresclet Permit, please refer to the Town’s Schedule of Fees and Charges here, where the fee charged is the same as 'outdoor eating facilities'.
