Cloth Nappy Rebate Program

The Town of Cambridge is offering a cloth nappy rebate to help reduce waste and support sustainable choices within our community. Residents can receive a 50% rebate of up to $100 for the hire, purchase or repair of modern cloth nappies.

Rebate Amounts

You will have the option to receive a Cloth Nappy introduction pack or rebate up to $100 for purchase, lease or repair.

Workshops

Residents are encouraged to attend a Cloth Nappy Workshop but it is not mandatory.
Upcoming sessions can be found on Humanitix.

Eligible Nappy Types

Residents may purchase modern cloth nappies from any Australian supplier with an ABN. Eligible items include:

• All-in-one and two-in-one nappies
• Swim nappies
• Terry or pre-fold nappies
• Nappy liners, boosters, covers and inserts

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the rebate, you must:

• Be a Town of Cambridge resident
• Have purchased, hired or repaired cloth nappies in the last 6 months
• Not have previously received a Cloth Nappy Rebate (one per household)
• Residents can apply for 1 rebate per financial year

How to Apply

An online form application can be found below.

Before submitting your application, please ensure you have attached:

• Tax Invoice for purchase, repair or hire: Must include the business name, date of payment, item names and costs (please note, an online confirmation is not a tax invoice. Please attach the correct documents to avoid delays in processing your refund).
  
  
• Proof of residency in the Town of Cambridge (driver’s license, lease agreement, rates notice, or a utility bill showing your full name and address, dated within 3 months)

• Complete the Refund Form that can be found as a pdf on this page. 

Incomplete applications or missing documentation may delay processing.

If approved, your rebate will be paid via EFT to your nominated bank account. Rebates cannot be issued in cash or by cheque.

Important Notes

• Only cloth nappies are eligible for the rebate. Accessories (e.g., wipes, wet bags) and postage costs are excluded.
• If your receipt includes both eligible and ineligible items, the rebate will be applied only to eligible items.

Rebate Amounts

Eligible Products

You may purchase or repair reusable menstrual products from any Australian supplier with an ABN. Eligible items include:

• Reusable cloth menstrual pads
• Period underwear
• Menstrual cups
• Reusable pad inserts or liners
• Reusable Incontinence Pads

Please note: Postage costs and accessories not directly related to reusable menstrual products are not eligible.

• Be a Town of Cambridge resident
• Have purchased or repaired eligible reusable sanitary products within the last 6 months
• Submit your application within 6 months of purchase
• Not have previously received a Reusable Menstrual Products Rebate (one per household)
• Residents can apply for 1 rebate per financial year
