Rates Notice Update ⚠️

The Town of Cambridge has identified an error in the way rates were calculated for properties in the Endowment Lands Area (parts of City Beach and Floreat). A Special Council Meeting will be held Wednesday, 3 September 6pm. Refunds will be provided to impacted properties.

Are you considering nominating for Council at this election?  Nominations will open on 28 August and close on 4 September 2025.  

WALGA, together with the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) and the WA Electoral Commission, are hosting an Election Candidate Information Briefing webinar on Monday 18 August commencing at 6pm. 

When: Monday 18 August // 6pm to 7pm 
Where: Online via Zoom 

This session will provide a clear overview of: 


  • the election process 

  • the responsibilities of Council Members and Local Governments 

  • the regulatory role of LGIRS in Western Australia 


Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions during the session or via email, afterwards.
