Across 2024 and 2025, Cambridge Coastcare led works to stabilise steep dunes, reduce erosion and improve biodiversity along the Floreat coastline. The project focused on the dunes at Floreat main beach, an area that has experienced significant erosion since Cyclone Alby in 1978, with rubble from the original Surf Life Saving Club still visible on the eroded dunes in 2023.

Walking Sessions – Temporary Pause Our official walking sessions are paused due to limited volunteer availability. Members are welcome to continue walking informally, but without Cambridge volunteers or staff leading the group.
