Residential Parking Permits
Residential parking permits may be used by residents or visitors and are available to residents who live in a single house or residential unit.
The Towns Public Parking Policy details the terms and conditions, including the maximum number of permits that can be issued free of charge to a premises.

In line with the Town's Public Parking Policy:
- Residential parking permits will be issued such that they expire on 31 December, three years (owners) or one year (tenants) after the permit is issued.
- The Town will not issue residential parking permits to unit occupiers or unit owners of multiple dwelling (apartment) complexes that accommodate more than six dwellings.
- The number of residential parking permits provided by the Town will be based on the assessment of the number of parking spaces available on a premises.
Commercial Parking Permits
In line with the Town's Public Parking Policy:
- The Town may issue the proprietor of a commercial business a maximum of one permit per employee for a fee as per the Town's Schedule of Fees and Charges here.
- Once your application is received, the Ranger Services and Community Safety Team will contact you regarding payment.
- Where a commercial business is located on a corner lot, the proprietor may nominate either street to which the parking permit is to apply.
The Town will not issue a commercial parking permit in the following circumstances:
(i) where three or more car parking bays can be provided on-site;
(ii) for any “large commercial vehicle” or “over length vehicle” greater than one tonne (not including panel vans and utilities) and/or with a length greater than 5.5m.
