The Town of Cambridge completed an Age Friendly Communities (AFC) Plan using the World Health Organisation (WHO) methodology.

The AFC plan was endorsed by Council in May 2018.

It provides a framework for supporting older people by connecting them to services, facilities and experiences that assist them to age in place and participate in local community life. The Summary of Recommendations and Key Findings(PDF, 639KB) from the AFC Plan was used to develop the Town's Senior Services Strategy and Action Plan.

The Town of Cambridge remains a supportive and inclusive community, fostering a local environment where older people are able to live meaningful and independent lives, while being valued for their knowledge, skills, and life experience.
