FOGO PLANNING FOR APARTMENTS

HELP US PLAN FOR CHANGES TO WASTE SERVICES AT YOUR PROPERTY

The Town is working towards introducing the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) three-bin system to eligible apartments, units, townhouses and other multi-unit developments (MUDs).

FOGO is part of the State Government’s Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030 and supports the Town’s commitment to reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.

As we plan for these changes, we would like to hear directly from residents, property managers and property owners. Your feedback will help us understand how waste is currently managed at your property, identify any challenges that may need to be considered, and ensure residents receive the information and support they need during this transition.

The survey will ask about:

  • Who makes decisions about waste management at your property (for example owner, strata etc).
  • Your current waste and recycling arrangements
  • How your existing bins are currently stored at your property
  • Potential opportunities or challenges you can see arising from a three-bin system
  • Your preferences for communication and supporting information
  • Any additional support needs that may need to be considered.

The survey should only take approximately 7-10 minutes to complete, and your responses will play an important role in helping the Town prepare for the introduction of this new service.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback and for helping us improve waste services for our community.

If you have any questions, please contact Town of Cambridge on (08) 9347 6000 or email mail@cambridge.wa.gov.au.
