Local Schools Art Exhibition 2026 celebrates young artists

The Town of Cambridge celebrated local students’ creativity at the Local Schools Art Exhibition, held at The Boulevard Centre on 16 September 2026.

This year’s exhibition received 74 entries from six schools: Wembley Primary, Floreat Primary, West Leederville Primary, Bold Park Community School, Lake Monger Primary, and Kapinara Primary.

Floreat Primary School was named Overall School Winner, while Year 5 student Archer received the Overall Winner award for his artwork, Eli the Elephant.

"The Local Schools Art Exhibition is one of the most enjoyable events in the Cambridge calendar, and this year was no exception," Mayor Gary Mack said.

"Thank you and congratulations to all the students who contributed and have had their artwork exhibited."

The annual exhibition welcomes artworks from kindergarten to Year 6, with entries judged by elected members, local artists and art enthusiasts. Awards include an overall prize, Encouragement and High Commendation awards.

The Town thanks all participating students, teachers and schools for their contributions. The artworks were also displayed at Floreat Forum until 24 September.
