Local Planning Scheme No. 2.jpg

The Town of Cambridge is inviting community feedback on its freshly drafted Local Planning Scheme No. 2 (LPS2), which will replace the current scheme and guide how land across the district can be used, changed, and developed in the years ahead.

Following the modification of the draft Scheme in accordance with direction from the State Government, the Town is now advertising the document that will guide the future growth and evolution of the area.

The new draft scheme proposes updates to zoning, land use, and development controls that will help shape a more connected, liveable, and sustainable Cambridge.

Mayor Gary Mack encourages residents and business owners to take the time to review the proposed changes and have their say.

“The new Local Planning Scheme is one of the most important tools we have for guiding how our neighbourhoods grow and change,” Mayor Mack said.

“We want to hear from as many people as possible — whether you own property, run a business, or simply care about the future character of your local area. Take the time to look at the draft, share your feedback, or come along to one of our drop-in sessions. Your input will help us plan a more connected Cambridge for generations to come.”

Have Your Say

The draft LPS2 is now open for public comment until Friday, 30 January 2026.

Online submissions are encouraged at www.cambridge.wa.gov.au/LPS2, or alternatively by:
