Get a Dog Training Licence
The Town of Cambridge encourages responsible dog ownership by ensuring effective control of your dog when in public. Effective dog training and obedience classes can assist with responsible dog ownership. Prospective dog trainers and prospective dog training groups must apply to the Town for a Dog Training Licence in order to conduct formalised dog training or obedience training on the Town’s open spaces.
Dog Training Rules
• Non-exclusive use of the area
• Classes may not exceed a total of 12 hours per week and must not be larger than 25 people.
• Classes may only operate between the hours of 6am and 9pm and can be held at a maximum of three reserves.
• All equipment used on the reserves by the hirer must be approved by the Town.
• Amplified music and equipment causing excessive noise is not permitted at Dog Training Classes.
• A maximum of five Dog Training Licences can be approved to any one park/reserve.
• Trainers are to ensure that the Dog Training Licence is available to display at the request of the Town's officers.
