To make sure bins get emptied, please follow these simple steps:

  • Put your bin(s) out by 6am on the day of collection;
  • If both bins are out, make sure there is at least half a metre between them;
  • Check for overhead powerlines, trees or other objects that may block the truck from accessing your bins;
  • Make sure your bin is not overflowing and the lid is properly closed;
  • Make sure the contents of your bin are not wedged in tightly;
  • Make sure your bin is not too heavy - if it weighs over 70kg it will be stickered; please follow the instructions; and,
  • Make sure you place the correct items into each bin
