Kintsugi: The Art of Broken Pieces

Next date: Wednesday, 07 December 2022 | 06:30 PM to 08:30 PM

*** 10 November & 7 December Workshops Fully Booked ***

Bookings Available for 23 February 2023 & 25 May 2023 Sessions

Introducing to our workshop program: an age old way to minimise waste to landfill…

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken ceramics back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

Every break is unique and instead of repairing an item like new, the 400-year-old technique actually highlights the "scars" as a part of the design.

This workshop includes a gold repair kit with all necessary equipment and tuition.
