Kintsugi: The Art of Broken Pieces

kintworkshop.png

Introducing to our workshop program: an age old way to minimise waste to landfill…

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of putting broken ceramics back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

Every break is unique and instead of repairing an item like new, the 400-year-old technique actually highlights the "scars" as a part of the design.

This workshop on June 24th includes a gold repair kit with all necessary equipment and tuition.

When: Thursday June 24th | 6:30 – 8:30pm
Where: Town of Cambridge Admin Building
Cost: $75 payable by Thursday, June 17th

Registrations essential.

Registrations for this workshop are now full.
Due to popular demand, we will be hosting a second Kintsugi: The Art of Broken Pieces workshop in August.
