Last Updated : 28 January 2026
The Town of Cambridge has recently completed a masterplan that covers the multiple bores and associated irrigation systems that service the Galup Reserve.
As part of that process the two bore systems that service Lake Monger Drive and South Galup were prioritised for replacement in the 2025/26 Financial year.
Replacement will include all pipework, valves and sprinklers with new cubicles and pumps.
Some areas of the reserve are being removed from the irrigation system to reduce water use. These areas will be mulched and revegetated with native planting. This initiative is part of the Kep Katitjin-Gabi Kaadadjan Waterwise action plan funded by the Government of Western Australia and will be delivered by the Town of Cambridge.
