The Town of Cambridge has been awarded funding to continue to deliver revegetation works at Galup (Lake Monger) Reserve in 2026 following on from the Stage 1 Galup Greening program implemented in 2025.
This initiative is part of the Kep Katitjin-Gabi Kaadadjan Waterwise action plan funded by the Government of Western Australia and will be delivered by the Town of Cambridge.
The project will initially involve site preparation, including, weed control, grass stripping and mulching.
This will be followed by planting of native revegetation plant species. The Town is engaging residents, local schools, organisations and other groups willing to volunteer their time to plant the revegetation species.
The works are being implemented in accordance with the Town’s adopted Management and Masterplan for the reserve which can be found on the link below:

Project signage is being installed to inform the community. Weed Control is underway.
Earthworks and mulching is due to commence in March 2026.
