The Town of Cambridge has received requests from the community to extend the fencing enclosure of the Galup dog exercise area in West Leederville. The community highlighted safety, the need for more free space for dogs and fostering a sense for community as the key drivers for this request.

The Town is proceeding with extending the fencing enclosure to address these needs. 

We will also be refurbishing areas of turf within the fenced dog exercise area that have been suffering a significant amount of wear and damage due to the high level of use and intermittent flooding which occurs on the site during winter months.

Project Schedule:

• Scoping Sept/October 2025
• Irrigation design November 2025
• Fencing November/December 2025
• Refurbishment works Jan – April 2026
